Recipe: Shortbread Cookie Time Machine

PREPPING TIME: 15 MIN

COOKING TIME: 20 MIN

Ingredients

• 1 ½ cups butter, softened
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
• ½ cup cornstarch
• ¼ teaspoon salt

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C)
2. Work all the ingredients together with your hands until blended
3. Shape all of the dough into 1 inch ballsa. Optional: Roll or form the dough into a log shape and cut ½” thick pieces
4. Bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart for 20 minutes
5. Cool slightly on the cookie sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely
